How can we accelerate large-scale, high-performance renovation? And how can better cooperation between stakeholders help us scale up projects, develop new models and bring better renovation to more homes?
On 24 June 2026, Ressorts (Energiesprong FR) and Le Cluster Eco-Bâtiment invite companies, clusters, housing providers, local authorities, funding bodies, design offices, European partners and other renovation stakeholders to an afternoon of exchange and collective intelligence at the I-Factory in Villeurbanne.
The event also marks the final public event of two European LIFE projects: LIFE Cosme Reno and LIFE Street HP Reno. Both projects have explored how collaboration, collective approaches and practical tools can help accelerate high-quality, energy-efficient renovation across Europe.
For European stakeholders who cannot travel to Villeurbanne, two English-language workshops will also be available online via the same registration link.
A truly collaborative event
The programme includes workshops, best practice sharing and discussions aimed at identifying the key levers for cooperation: from individual buildings to whole neighbourhoods.
The event will showcase resources, tools and training developed through several European projects and sector initiatives. Topics include prefabrication and industrialisation through PrefabLab, neighbourhood-scale renovation training, off-site processes and Lean tools, energy modules and technical solutions, financial levers for scaling up projects, joint procurement schemes and inter-housing provider approaches.
Workshops and discussions
The afternoon will include a mix of workshops, best practice sharing and discussions, with sessions held in both French and English.
The French-language programme will explore topics such as neighbourhood-scale renovation, group heat pump purchase schemes, Lean, BIM and offsite construction, shared facilities for the construction sector, the future Energiesprong France specification and collaborative renovation between housing providers.
More details about the full French programme can be found via the registration link.
English-language workshops for European stakeholders
Launching a Group Renovation Project: How to Mobilise Participants? Lessons Learned from a Pilot Project in Germany
Drawing on several successful pilot projects, the German partners of LIFE Street HP Reno will present proven approaches to engage and motivate residents in collective renovation initiatives. The session will share practical tools, key success factors and actionable insights to help launch and scale similar projects in other cities.
What Could Be the Financing Model of Deep Renovation?
Three experts will present practical financing models for deep renovation and discuss their applicability across different contexts. The session will examine key success factors, persistent barriers and the innovations needed to unlock large-scale investment in deep renovation.
And afterwards… an informal evening to continue the conversation
From 18:00, the event will continue with an informal evening programme including a debate, networking drinks and celebrations. This will be an opportunity to continue discussions in a relaxed setting, meet the European partners present and develop new collaborations.
