FRAIMwork develops adaptable prefabricated renovation solutions for small-scale, non-serial buildings, such as single-family homes, terraced houses and small to medium-rise residential buildings.
The project combines modular frame systems, smart digital optimisation, practical installation guidance and realistic financing models to make deep renovation faster, easier and more cost-effective. Its approach is designed for real-world conditions, including limited space, varied building types and the needs of local contractors and smaller enterprises.
By improving design, prefabrication, installation and end-of-life reuse, FRAIMwork helps reduce renovation costs, on-site waste and the gap between designed and built performance. The project also supports building owners, project developers and contractors in making better decisions across the full renovation lifecycle.
In doing so, FRAIMwork aims to accelerate the transition towards zero-emission buildings and make high-quality, prefabricated renovation accessible to a much wider part of the European building stock.
