Energiesprong Germany
Goals and approuch
After coming across the Energiesprong approach and being impressed by its results and potential, the German Energy Agency (dena) founded a market development team in 2017.*
The German Energiesprong team consists of experts from dena and other industry experts. Together, the team contributes interdisciplinary expertise and experience in order to spread prefab net-zero retrofits according to the Energiesprong approach as quickly as possible.
In doing so, we work closely with a committed and diverse network consisting of the housing and construction industry, manufacturing companies, architectural, planning and consulting firms, public and private portfolio holders, as well as political decision-makers and supporting organisations.
*on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWE) and supported by the GdW Federal Association of German Housing and Real Estate Companies.

Energiesprong Germany has succesfully completed 125 projects so far, including apartment buildings, single-family homes and non-residential.
An additional 260 projects are in planning or preparation, representing 18,000 units - figures as of July 2025.
